One of Asean's most seasoned, dynamic and respected diplomats, Marty Natalegawa, schooled at Ellesmere and Concord Colleges, and the London School of Economics in the UK, and with a PhD from Australian National University, has served as Indonesia's Permanent Representative to the UN, and Ambassador to the UK.

In more recent years Mr Natalegawa, as foreign minister of a diverse, multiethnic, far-flung country that is a powerhouse of Asia, widely lauded for its own occasionally rocky but sustained transition to democracy, has had to tackle issues ranging from an artillery battle between Thailand and Cambodia, to China's influence causing divisions in ASEAN, to the implications of Myanmar's anti-Muslim violence in Rakhine state, and to the trans boundary haze pollution originating from Sumatra, that only days ago badly affected Singapore and Malaysia.

Join us for a talk and Q & A with one of the region's most prominent and dynamic figures, at 0930 on the morning of July 10.
